Acer Iconia W3 8-inch Windows 8 Tablet Images Leaked, Intel Atom Powered with Keyboard Dock

As far as the accuracy of rumors go, one good sign that you’re either spot on or really, really far off is if the company that’s the object of the speculation specifically asks you to remove information from your site. That’s apparently what happened with French site Minimachines, which leaked photos and specs of the Acer Iconia W3 tablet. Of course, this being the Internet, that information has already been widely disseminated.

The W3 tablet looks to be an 8-inch device that runs Windows 8. Other specs include a 1.8GHz Atom Z2760 processor, 2GB of RAM, front and rear cameras, and possibly a microSDHC card slot.

If the photo is to be believed, the little tablet will be accompanied by a keyboard dock that will allow users to use the W3 like a (very, very small) notebook display. It’s an interesting form factor concept, to be sure, but we’ll withhold judgment until we get to play with one in person.
