Alcatel One Touch Offers Mid-Range Android Specs For $299 Unlocked

Many would associate the Alcatel name with telecommunications, but few would guess that the company has just launched a smartphone in the United States. But sure enough, it has. The Alcatel One Touch was just released this week, boasting a 4.7" panel, support for GSM networks, and a wildly cheap price tag. It'll sell for just $299, and that's fully unlocked; most higher-end phones retail for well over $500 in off-contract, unlocked form.

The One Touch weighs just 3.88oz., and offers up scratch-resistant glass, anti-virus software and all-over splash-proof water protection. There's also 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, an 8MP camera, a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, and Android 4.1. Sure, it's no Galaxy S4-beater, but it's also pretty affordable. And, it isn't half-bad looking!
