ALDI is a European-based grocery store chain that is quickly expanding across the United States, and it is notable for also selling all types of random home goods, electronics, and even clothing. PC gamers can get their hands on the Medion Gaming Desktop PC from ALDI with one caveat being that it is only offered online. That means gamers can't toss it into their shopping cart along with their dinner at the physical store.

Most notably, the video card is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, which has 6GB of VRAM and is ray tracing-enabled for playing games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The GeForce RTX 2060 video card alone is selling for around $330 right now.
The other main hardware features include an Intel Core i5-9400 processor, 1TB SSD, and 16GB of RAM. The gaming PC even has a DVD drive, which is something you don't see every day. It also comes with a mouse and keyboard. Full hardware specifications for the Medion Gaming Desktop PC includes:

  • Intel Core i5-9400 Processor 2.9 GHz, up to 4.1 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0, 6 Cores and 9 MB Intel Smart Cache
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Graphics With 6,144 MB GDDR6 VRAM
  • 1,024 GB PCIe SSD
  • 16 GB DDR4-2666 RAM
  • Multi-Standard-DVD-/CD-ReWriter
  • Hot-Swap HDD Frame1
  • Fast Wireless LAN IEEE 802.11 ac-Standard-Technology with up to 1.73 Gbps (2x2)
  • Bluetooth 5.0
  • Network Controller Gigabit LAN (10/100/1000 Mbit/s)
  • Windows 10
Another caveat is that for now, the PC is only offered in Europe. The Medion Gaming Desktop PC sells for £949.99, which is around $1,230 in the States. For the money, it represents a pretty good value for the money for those looking for some affordable gaming goodness. If only ALDI would bring the gaming rig over to the United States...
