Alleged Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Benchmarks Leak With Exynos 9820 SOC And 6GB RAM

A new benchmark published by Twitter user Ice Universe may give us our first look at the power inside of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S10 Plus smartphone flagship. Samsung's Galaxy S10 Plus will utilize the company's new Exynos 9820, which is a rather complex and unique SoC. It has eight CPU cores split into three groups. Two of the cores use ARM's Cortex-A75 architecture, and there are two cores based on a custom CPU architecture designed by Samsung. The last four cores all use the Cortex-A55 architecture and are intended for low-power tasks.

The Exynos 9820 also has a powerful GPU based on ARM's Mali-G76 architecture with 12 EUs. Samsung also added an NPU, which is a specialized processing unit that excels at performing AI tasks.

According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy S10 Plus achieved a score of 325,076 in Antutu Benchmark, which would make it one of the fastest Android smartphone in the world. We need to take these results with a pinch of salt, but it would be in line with what we can expect from a new flagship smartphone from Samsung. It's also worth noting that this would also put the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus with the Exynos SoC behind Apple's iPhone XS, which has achieved a score of 352,405.


Ice Universe also published a screen shot that shows some of the phones specs. Of note is the phone's resolution of 2280x1080. This would be rather strange if this is the Galaxy S10 Plus's true resolution, as the preceding Galaxy S9 Plus had a display with a resolution of 2960x1440 The strange resolution raises additional questions as to whether the published benchmarks are legitimate.

Samsung is expected to launch its new Galaxy S10 Plus smartphone sometime early in 2019. Until we get our hands on an official Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, however, we won't be able to say for sure if these benchmarks are accurate.
