Amazon Digital Day Boots Up Tomorrow With Discounts On Apps, Games And Movies

Santa Claus is not making any more deliveries this year, but do not fret—if you did not get what you wanted this Christmas, you can take matters into your own hands by taking advantage of ongoing deals and sales. One of the bigger sale events is just a day away. On Friday, December 30, Amazon will mark down thousands of TV shows, movies, music, apps, games, and other goodies as part of its Digital Day.

The online extravaganza will deep discounts across the digital spectrum. That includes up to 80 percent off hundreds of video games, 50 percent off top movies and TV shows, and 75 percent off hundreds of digital comics, plus other deals on popular content. The sale event goes live at 12:00 AM PST and runs 24 hours, giving you plenty of time to stock up on digital goodies at a discount.

Digital Day

It remains to be seen if this will be an annual thing. Given the success Amazon had with its second annual Prime Day earlier this year, which turned out to be the biggest day in the history of Amazon even though many of the sale items were nothing to trip over with excitement, it is no wonder the online retailer would want to try something similar with digital goods. If Amazon's first every Digital Day is even remotely as successful as Prime Day, it would likely become and an annual sale event.

Digital Day will include a wide ranging mix of sale items. The landing page contains images for Destiny: Rise of Iron, Rocket League, Titanfall 2, FIFA 17, H&R Block Deluxe Tax Software, Cookie Jam, Norton Security Deluxe, Microsoft Office Home & Business 2016, and a whole lot more.

In addition to being one last cash grab to end the year, Digital Day can be seen as an event to promote Amazon's services, including Amazon Music Unlimited, its recently launch reading app for kids called Amazon Rapids, Amazon Prime Video, and so forth.
