AMD Launches Generous Free Game Bundle For Radeon RX 5x0 And Vega Customers

AMD announced that it will bundle a handful of games with select GPUs purchased between November 15 and February 9, 2019. This announcement comes immediately after the launch of the company's new Radeon RX 590, which succeeded the Radeon RX 580 as AMD's Polaris-based flagship GPU.

The games being offered in the bundle are Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5, and Tom Clancy's: The Division 2. All of these games are scheduled to launch early in 2019, so you may be waiting a bit before you can play, but at least all of the games are new, AAA titles.

If you purchase an AMD Radeon RX 590 or an AMD Radeon RX Vega graphics card, you will receive all three of these games for free. If you purchase an AMD Radeon RX 570 or Radeon RX 580 you won't get all of the games, but you will be able to choose two of the three titles.

The inclusion of the Radeon RX 570 in this promotion creates an interesting opportunity for gamers. The price on the RX 570 has steadily dropped over the year. Following the launch of the RX 590, it plummeted to a new low, with the least expensive RX 570 hitting $139.99 on Newegg. Since each of these new games will likely cost upwards of $60, you are essentially buying two new games and getting the RX 570 for $20. This makes it an incredible deal if you need a new mid-range graphics card.

Even if you don't want a Radeon RX 570, if you plan to buy two of these games when they are released, it would be better to buy the Radeon RX 570 now and sell it off later or gift it to a friend.

Lower-end AMD graphics cards unfortunately aren't eligible for this promotion. If you plan to take advantage of this offer, you should do so sooner rather than later, though. AMD noted that there is a limited supply of these free game codes, and the offer is only valid while supplies last.
