AMD QuadFX Roundup
As we mentioned earlier, AMD has just launched their new enthusiast QuadFX platform. Armed with two physical CPU sockets which are populated by the latest dual-core processors from AMD, the "Quadfather" platform is AMD's latest attempt to recapture the performance crown from Intel's new Core 2 Duo architecture. Although impressive and certainly looking the part, Hot Hardware's review of the platform revealed AMD still has a bit of work to do to fully catch up with Intel.
