AMD Radeon RX Vega Custom-Designed Cards Will Allegedly Arrive In October
AMD is still trying to get a handle on Radeon RX Vega production in the wake of the cryptocurrency craze that is contributing to a shortage of graphics cards in general. In the meantime, it appears that AMD's hardware partners are readying custom designed cards with fancy cooling solutions and, in some cases, factory overclocks, among other features not found on AMD's reference cards (such as RGB lighting). Look for them to hit store shelves next month (hopefully)
A French-language website says it was informed by a source that custom designed cards from the likes of Asus, Gigabyte, and MSI will not arrive until mid-October. The wording (which has been translated by Google) suggests that the middle of next month is the earliest we will see these cards, so perhaps the wait will be even longer. Either way, we suspect that cryptocurrency miners will flock to custom cards just as quickly as they did to AMD's reference SKUs.
ASUS could be one of the first to release custom Radeon RX Vega cards. It has already showed off a few models that are branded by its Republic of Gamers (ROG) and Strix brands. ASUS is also rumored to be working on a dual-GPU model that will feature two full Vega 10 XT GPUs. If real, that would translate into over 50 teraflops of FP16 compute performance and 25 teraflops of FP32 compute performance.

They include the Radeon RX Vega 56, two air-cooled Radeon RX Vega 64 cards (one is a limited edition card with an all-metal aluminum shroud), and a liquid-cooled Radeon RX Vega 64 with faster clocks than the air-cooled variants.
