AMD Ryzen 7 3750X 105W CPU Confirmed In Leaked Docs
It looks as though AMD is not quite finished fleshing out its third-generation Ryzen processor family. We're not talking about the delayed launch of the Ryzen 9 3950X, but the discovery of an unannounced Ryzen 7 3750X CPU plopped within a Product Master list that was briefly viewable by the public.
AMD has since taken the Product Master list, dated September 2019, offline after word started to spread about the Ryzen 7 3750X. However, a quick trip in the Wayback Machine brings us to the document (PDF). Here's a screenshot...
The only detail available is that it has a 105W TDP, just the like the Ryzen 9 3900X and Ryzen 7 3800X that sit above it. No other specs are noted. For reference, here's a quick rundown of the pertinent specs of a few neighboring CPUs...
- Ryzen 9 3900X: 12 cores / 24 threads, 3.8GHz-4.6GHz, 64MB L3 cache, 105W TDP, $499
- Ryzen 7 3800X: 8 cores / 16 threads, 3.9GHz-4.5GHz, 32MB L3 cache, 105W TDP, $399
- Ryzen 7 3750X: ???
- Ryzen 7 3700X: 8 cores / 16 threads, 3.6GHz-4.4GHz, 32MB L3 cache, 65W TDP, $329
- Ryzen 5 3600X: 6 cores / 12 threads, 3.8GHz-4.4GHz, 32MB L3 cache, 95W TDP, $249
Assuming AMD proceeds to launch a Ryzen 7 3750X, we can assume it will feature 8 cores and probably 16 threads, and be priced somewhere around $349.
It remains to be seen if the Ryzen 7 3750X will be offered as a standalone CPU, or relegated to OEM and system integrator (SI) customers. AMD went the latter route with a couple of recent additions, namely the Ryzen 9 3900 (available globally) and Ryzen 5 3500X (available only in China).
Incidentally, the long anticipated Ryzen 9 3950X with 16 cores and 32 threads will finally make its retail in November, as will the first of AMD's third-generation Ryzen Threadripper family.
