Apple Sends Invites For October 30 Event In NY, New iPad Pros And Macs Expected
What is Apple brewing up? The company recently sent out invitations to members of the media for their October 30th event in Brooklyn, New York. The media invites featured various Apple logo designs and promised that “there’s more in the making”.
The October 30th event will likely feature other Apple products besides iPhones and Apple Watches, which were unveiled last month. There have already been a number of leaks for a new iPad Pro, and it is expected to resemble the iPhone X thanks to the removal of the home button, thinner bezels, and a TrueDepth camera system that will incorporate Face ID. It is also rumored that the iPad Pro will be available in 11- and 12.9-inch display sizes, will support 4K HDR video over USB-C, and forego the headphone jack.
Apple may also add more functionality to its new iOS 12 operating system. Group FaceTime -- which allows users to video chat with up to 32 people at once -- was originally supposed to ship with with iOS 12, but has been delayed until a future software update (iOS 12.1). Another update expected with iOS 12.1 is the official support for dual SIM functionality on the latest family of iPhones.
The Mac Mini and MacBook Air may also be getting long-awaited updates. The Mac Mini is expected to include more powerful graphics, CPUs, and larger amounts of storage and RAM. The MacBook Air is rumored to feature a 13-inch screen with slimmer bezels and will be less expensive than its predecessors.

The new Apple Watch Series 4 includes slimmer bezels, more rounded corners, an electrical heart sensor, and a new 64-bit S4 chipset that is two times faster than the Series 3. The iPhone XS and XS Max are similar to the iPhone X’s, but feature better water resistance, more durable glass, increased storage, dual rear cameras, and the the first 7nm chip in any smartphone. The iPhone XR is slightly less expensive than the XS and will be available in vibrant colors. The iPhone XR also has a 7nm chip, but it only includes one rear camera.

There have been some complaints about the pricing for the iPhone XS. A 64GB iPhone XS will ring in at $999, while a 512GB iPhone XS Max will cost consumers a whopping $1,449.
