Over the past few years, Apple’s services arm has been growing in strength, adding greatly to the company’s bottom line as iPhone sales have been faltering a bit. Today, Apple Is flexing its services muscle quite a bit with the introduction of a new extension to Apple News.

Apple News has been an integrated experience for iOS and macOS users for quite some time, and provides a curated news experience from a variety of publications. Today, Apple is expanding the reach of Apple News by bringing over 300 magazines to the platform. The company displayed such big names like Fortune, Sports Illustrated, New York, Time, Vogue, National Geographic, Men’s Health, Esquire, Car and Driver, and countless others.

Apple is calling this experience Apple News+. Interestingly, Apple is focusing primarily on magazines and not newspapers, as some of the big names in the business – namely The New York Times and The Washington Post– refused to agree to Apple’s fee structure. However, The Wall Street Journal and LA Times are onboard, which is better than nothing.
