ASUS Intel Z390 Motherboard Lineup Leaks Including ROG Maximus XI
Intel will be rolling out its 9th generation Core processor family in October, though we can't say for sure exactly when—we've heard both October 1 and October 8 thrown around. Either way, Intel's hardware partners are ready with a whole bunch of new motherboards based on the company's accompanying Z390 Express chipset. Many of the upcoming boards have already been leaked, including a wide range of Z390 motherboards from ASUS.
Based on the latest leak, ASUS will have no less than 11 new Z390 motherboards on tap for Intel's 9th generation Core processors. According to fresh batch of leaked fresh renders, four of them will be Republic of Gamers (ROG) Maximus XI models and three will fall under the ROG Strix Gaming brand. ASUS is obviously targeting gamers with the bulk of its lineup, with five of its 11 board specifically carrying the "Gaming" badge in its model name, and several others (Maximux XI family) shooting for the high-end of the spectrum that gamers gravitate towards.
ASUS will also be releasing at least two Z390 motherboards for small form factor (SFF) builds. Shown above is the TUF Z390M-Pro Gaming. This looks to be a micro-ATX motherboard. This is essentially a smaller version of the TUF-Z390-Pro Gaming with two PCIe x16 slots instead of three (one of which is reinforced) and fewer SATA 6Gbps ports.
For even tighter builds, the ROG Strix Z390-I Gaming looks to be a mini-ITX motherboards. It has a single reinforced PCIe x16 slot and two DDR4 DIMM slots instead of four, plus four onboard SATA 6Gbps ports. This board also has LED lighting.
Overall it's a well rounded lineup. Pricing, availability, and detailed specs will have to wait, though not for long.
