Asus Introduces EeeBox EB1030 Mini-Desktop With Cedar Trail

While monstrous gaming towers are fun, they aren't exactly a necessity for everyone. For those with simpler desktop needs, Asus is planning to introduce something a bit slimmer. Trimmer. And, all around sexier. The upcoming EeeBox EB1030 sports a slender, tall look, with a vertical assortment of I/O ports and enough horsepower to handle the more basic chores. The machine will ship with Intel's latest Cedar Trail processors, as well as up to 4GB of memory and a 500GB HDD. And did we mention the 32GB SSD that it's paired with? Yep, there's some NAND love, too.

As for ports, you'll find HDMI, VGA, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a mic port, four USB 2.0 connectors and a basic card reader. Pricing is expected to hit between $350 and $400, but it looks like you'll need to provide your own mouse and keyboard.
