ASUS Launches 24-inch VG245H Gaming Monitor For Xbox One And PlayStation 4
Therein lies the big pitch from ASUS, The VG245H has a pair of low input lag HDMI ports, so ASUS reckons you can connect a media player to one and a game console to another,
It's an interesting pitch as it completely overlooks the PC, though there is also a D-Sub port if you've already used both HDMI inputs. A dual-link DVI port would have made more sense, but whatever, at least there's something left over for PC players to plug their systems into.
Not only that, the VG245H features
In any event, there are multiple ways to utilize this monitor, which is true of any panel with multiple inputs. This one features a 24-inch Twisted Nematic (TN) screen with a 1920x1080 resolution, 75Hz refresh rate, 250 cd/m brightness, 1ms response time (gray to gray), and 100.000,000 to 1 contrast ratio. In-Plane Switching (IPS) panels typically boast more accurate color reproduction and wider viewing angles, though TN displays are cheaper and often faster.
Other features include two 2W stereo speakers, a 5-way OSD navigational joystick, half a dozen pre-configured display modes, and a stand that supports tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments.
The ASUS VG245H is available now with a street price of around $190.
