ASUS Launches ROG Swift PG27UQ 4K 144Hz NVIDIA G-SYNC HDR Gaming Monitor

Earlier this week Acer officially launched the new Predator X27 gaming monitor that had gamers drooling. That drool dried up quickly when the monitor's price of $1999 was announced. If you want a different option with the exact same panel, ASUS has released the ROG Swift PG27UQ that packs the same 144Hz refresh rate and the same 4K UHD native resolution. Considering it’s the same exact panel inside the ASUS offering, the same specs (and pricing) are no surprise.

ASUS' offering does come with ROG Light Signal and Light Signature projection kit to provide a unique atmosphere around the monitor. The LED lighting can be synchronized with other RGB Aura Sync devices that ASUS offers for a lightshow that matches across the entire system. The display has an integrated light sensor to automatically adjust brightness to suit darker rooms and to help prevent eye strain. NVIDIA G-SYNC display technology is integrated into the monitor to help eliminate lag and screen tearing.

NVIDIA G-SYNC HDR tech offers a range of luminance that's closer to what the human eye can experience. Brightness peaks at 1000 cd/m2, and the LED backlighting is dynamically controlled across 384 zones.

Connectivity options for the 27-nch monitor include DisplayPort v1.4, HDMI 2.0, three USB 3.0 ports, and an earphone port. The display will land in North America starting in late June with an MSRP of $1999.99.
