ASUS ROG Strix Hero And Scar Kaby Lake Notebooks Cater To Your Specific Gaming Needs

There are plenty of mice and keyboards on the market today that aim at gamers with specific tastes when it comes to their favorite games. There are mice specifically for the fast actions that FPS gamers prefer and then there are mice for the multiplayer online battle arena or MOBA gaming. So, it makes sense that ASUS would want to offer a pair of notebook computers with each version tailored to gamers who prefer specific types of games.

The ROG Strix Scar Edition notebook is aimed at FPS gamers and takes its name from the special forces rifle used by the military. The machine has a Core i7 quad-core processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics. Storage is the same 256GB SSD and 1TB SSHD as the other version and this machine can have the same 16GB of RAM. The big difference is the 17.3-inch 120Hz, 5ms response time display. The panel has 400 cd/m2 brightness and ASUS notes that it will soon offer this machine in a version with a 17.3-inch 144Hz display paired with a GeForce GTX 1070 GPU.
