ASUS VivoBook E403NA Is Ready For School With Quad-Core Pentium CPU And 1080p Display For $399

ASUS VivoBook E403NA

School is back in session in many parts of the country and if you are in need of a relatively affordable and stylish laptop, ASUS may have what you are looking for in the VivoBook E403NA, essentially a tone down version of its higher-end VivaBook models. Starting at $399, the VivoBook E403NA will not break the bank. At the same time, it offers a decent collection of hardware and features, some of which are not normally found in laptops in this price price range.

Starting with the outside, the VivoBook E403NA sports a premium feel thanks to its brushed aluminum lid. It also has a thin and light design that measures 13.37 (W) x 9.25 (D) x 0.7 (H) inches and weighs 3.3 pounds. That means you will not wear your arm out lugging it from classroom to classroom. Likewise, it will easily slip into most backpacks, as it is a relatively compact laptop.

Underneath the good looks is a 14-inch Full HD 1080p (1920x1080) display. Like the brushed aluminum lid, you do not always find a 1080p panel in laptops that reside in this price range. This is powered by an Intel Pentium quad-core Pentium N4200 processor and 4GB of DDR3L 1600MHz RAM. It also has 128GB of eMMC storage.

Connectivity on the wireless side of things consists of 802.11ac (2x2) Wi-Fi with WiDi and DFS support, and Bluetooth 4.2. And on the wired side, there is a single USB-C Gen 1 port, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity (one each), HDMI output, and a 3.5mm audio jack. A webcam and built-in speakers with ASUS SonicMaster audio are both part of the package, too.

This is a passively cooled laptop, so you do not need to worry about any fans kicking on and disrupting a lecture. It also features IceCool technology, a fancy marketing term that essentially means hot components have been moved away from the palm rest so that it says cool and comfortable during use.

The VivoBook E403NA is available now from the ASUS Store (hit the source link) as well as Amazon and a variety of other online retailers.
