ASUS is an ardent believer in 2-in-1 convertibles, and that commitment is exemplified by the ZenBook Flip family. The company is expanding the range with the addition of the ZenBook Flip 14, which combines 8th generation Intel Core muscle with discrete graphics from NVIDIA.

Powering the ZenBook Flip 14 are 8th generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors. The base machine comes with a Core i5-8250U, while the upgraded model comes with the Core i7-8550U -- both are quad-core processors and are paired with either 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR3 memory. As its name implies, the ZenBook Flip 14 features a 14-inch multi-touch, with a Full HD resolution (1920x1080). ASUS boats that this NanoEdge display has a tiny 7.15mm-thin bezel and an 80 percent screen-to-body ratio.

In base systems, that 14-inch display is fed by Intel UHD Graphics 620 graphics. However, those that need a little bit more pixel-pushing power can upgrade to an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete GPU. Storage options include either a 256GB SATA SSD or a 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD. Other requisite features include 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 3.1 Type-C port, HDMI 2.0, a microSD reader and a standard stylus pen.

The standard model with integrated graphics weighs in at just 3.09 pounds, while choosing the upgraded SKU with the Core i7, 512GB SSD and GeForce MX150 weighs slightly more at 3.31 pounds. Whichever SKU you select, a 57WHr lithium-polymer battery with fast charging support is integrated into the aluminum unibody chassis.

The ASUS ZenBook Flip 14 UX461UA-DS51T (Core i5/8GB/256GB) is available right now priced at $899. The ZenBook Flip 14 UX461UN-DS74T (Core i7/16GB/512GB) will cost you a few hundred bucks more, ringing in at $1,299.
