ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom Passes TENNA Certification, Adds Dual Rear Cameras And 4850 mAh Battery

The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom is likely headed for an official reveal in the not-too-distant future. It was just recently spotted passing certification on China's certification website TENAA by its model number Z01HDA and will presumably join a growing list of ZenFone 3 models that include the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, ZenFone 3 Ultra, and ZenFone 3 Max.

According to the listing, the ZenFone 3 Zoom sports a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p (1920x1080) display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processors. It also boasts 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM options; 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB storage capacity options; and a pretty large 4,850 mAh battery that should keep the handset juiced up for a long while.

Interestingly the listing only shows a 16-megapixel rear camera. That doesn't align with the image shown on the website, nor does it match what is listed by the ZenFone 3 Zoom's Bluetooth SIG listing, which indicates it will wield dual rear cameras. Specifically, the ZenFone 3 Zoom is anticipated to have a 12.2-megapixel lens and 13-megapixel lens on the back.

This will be the company's first phone with dual cameras on the back. There will also be a fingerprint scanner on the back towards the top of the device.

The ZenFone 3 Zoom measures 154.3x77.7.99mm and weighs 170g. It will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and be available in Navy Black, New Crafts Silver, and Luxury Gold options. No word yet on exactly when it will be available or for how much.
