ATI X1K Driver Analysis, Joytech Neo S PC Gamepad

We've had some big game releases this month, and today's release is... F.E.A.R.! From what I've heard, the game will take about 10 hours to get through(which I personally find disappointing), however it's supposed to be one incredible ride. In what seems to be becoming a popular trend, a patch has already been released for the game, less than a week(or day) after it's release. If you own the game, grab the patch, and if your still undecided on Monolith's new shooter, check back here tonight for some reviews. Enjoy the news!

First stage of HTPC project proves tricky @ The Tech Report

"This setup's existence has been suspended for many months between my intentions--to build a real HTPC for use in the living room to replace the TiVo--and various realities involving the relative difficulty of building a truly adequate TiVo replacement and my own available time. Then my HTPC project got a jolt over the weekend when, out of nowhere, the Toshiba DVD player in my living room gave up the ghost. Suddenly, it was time to build a basic HTPC right away."

ATI X1K Driver Analysis – More performance for X1800XL @ Tweak Town

"Low and behold, it worked and we noticed some extra performance gains in the Radeon X1800XL, compared to the drivers that shipped with the reference card that went out to all other website reviewers. This should indicate that we'll see the new VPU from ATI performing better next month in the Catalyst 5.11 (November 2005) drivers which should officially support ATI's new X1K series of graphics cards."

BFG GeForce 7800 GT OC with Water Block @ [H]ard|OCP

"Overall, the H2O version was a very strong performer. We were excited to see that, at default clock speeds, it could beat the air cooled 7800 GT OC in more than a few games. The extra performance allowed us to raise image quality settings improving the gaming experience. In fact, with this video card overclocked, we were literally at GeForce 7800 GTX performance levels."

Seagate Momentus 5400.2 & Scythe Katana CPU Cooler @ Adrian's Rojak Pot

"Till today, notebook users have to content with a single hard disk and often a small one at that. Hard disk sizes of 40GB and 60GB are not only unheard of but actually in common use! Today, we are going to take a look at the new Seagate 120GB Momentus 5400.2 PATA notebook hard disk, which not only comes with 120GB of storage space but also 8MB of cache!"

Joytech Neo S PC Gamepad @ PC Review

"The biggest selling point behind the Neo S is the ability to map your keyboard and mouse controls directly to the gamepad via the packaged Config Pro software. With this in mind, virtually every PC title imaginable is opened up for control pad use, not merely restricted to the more action orientated titles."
