AT&T Busts A Limbo Move Competing With Verizon Shared Data Plans, 7GB For $75 With Rollover
The wireless wars continue to wage on, as you can probably tell by the constant barrage of promotions. One of the newest is a temporary deal from AT&T -- starting on Sunday, February 15, AT&T Mobile Share Value customers will be able to get 7GB of "truly shareable" data, unlimited talk and text, and unlimited texting from the U.S. to select countries with rollover data for $75 per month plus device access charges.
It gets even better when you buy a smartphone through AT&T Next on the new 7GB Mobile Share Value plan. When you do, you'll pay $15 per month for that smartphone line's access charge, which is $25 less per month compared to a smartphone on a new 2-year service agreement, AT&T says.
AT&T says the new plan is for a limited time only, though the wireless carrier didn't give a specific time frame. The plan itself squeezes in between AT&T's 6GB ($70/month) and 10GB ($100/month) data plans. At $75 per month with rollover data, it seems to be the best deal of the bunch.

The way it works is once you enter into a new month, you'll use your plan's allotment first, and then tap into any rollover data you might have had from the previous month. Any unused rollover data doesn't carry over to a second month. That's not quite as generous as T-Mobile's data stash feature, which lets you access unused data up to a year, though it beats losing it altogether each month.
