AT&T Now Selling Palm Pix Plus Smartphone

AT&T over the weekend began offering the Palm Pixi Plus for sale to its customers, and at a pretty attractive price point too. Though the smartphone spotlight today is shining squarely on Apple's iPhone 4G, which Steve Jobs is expected to announced during his WWDC 2010 keynote, AT&T's $50 price tag for the webOS-based Palm Pixi Plus offers a pretty compelling alternative to penny pinchers in the market for a smartphone.

For those of you who need a refresher on the hardware, the Palm Pixi Plus sports a 2.63-inch display with a 32-x480 HVGA resolution, 8GB of internal storage, 3G compatibility, Bluetooth 2.1, 2MP camera, voice guided GPS, full HTML web browsing, a physical QWERTY keyboard with backlit keys.

The $50 price is with a 2-year contract with a $15/month data plan and after a $100 online discount.
