Battlefield V PC System Requirements Announced, Beefy Hardware Needed For Real-Time Ray Tracing

Battlefield V is another highly anticipated game that will launch in the coming weeks. Its was also one of the headline titles that NVIDIA chose to show off the realistic effects possible with real-time ray tracing, which is supported in hardware on the new GeForce RTX family of graphics cards. Ahead of Battlefield V's launch, Dice has officially announced the PC system requirements for the game.

The minimum system requirements are certainly modest, but if you want to enjoy the game with DirectX Raytracing (DXR), your gaming PC better have some serious hardware inside. Dice's recommended machine specifications for DXR are:

• Processor (Intel): Intel Core i7 8700
• Memory: 16GB RAM
• Graphics card (NVIDIA): NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070

Battlefield V has generated its fair share of controversy ahead of launch. When the game was announced, some were unhappy that the title, which is set in the WWII era, had women characters participating in combat; Dice said that women characters were here to stay. The game also had an issue with a profanity filter that was so strict during beta testing that it would censor words like "DLC." Despite the controversy, Battlefield V might be the shooter that fans of single-player campaigns want because it has one, unlike Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, which is only online.
