Best Buy Doorbusters Available Online, $100 Off Apple iPad Air 2, Xbox One Assassin's Creed Bundle for $330

One of the reasons to give thanks today is for not having to brave the crowds or camp outside your local Best Buy to score some hot deals on electronics. Yes, we realize it's only Thursday, but like most retailers, Best Buy has kicked off its Black Friday sale early -- really early -- and to the chain's credit, many of the deals are available online. So while your less savvy neighbor Joe is slipping his way down the winter roads to wait in long lines, you can kick back in your pajamas with a cup of coffee as you score the same deals as him, but with much less hassle.

At present, some of Best Buy's bigger doorbuster deals that are available online include a Panasonic 50-inch class 1080P LED HDTV for $200, marked down $350 from its original price, and Samsung's Galaxy S5 smartphone for $1 (on-contract), marked down from $200. There are other deals as well, which will be refreshed throughout the day. As for the Panasonic TV, it was out of stock earlier today, but in-stock at the time of this writing, so check back periodically if there's a deal you're after that you think you might have missed out on.

For you console gamers, Microsoft's Xbox One Assassin's Creed: Unity Bundle is going for $330, marked down $70, and there are several half-priced games available for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4, such as NBA2K15 for $30. Unfortunately, the Wii U sales are pretty weak, like Mario Kart 8 going for $52 instead of $60. It's also a bit light for PC gamers with just a handful of titles marked down, though the sale prices are more significant than they are for the Wii U. A couple worth pointing out include The Sims 4 Limited Edition for $30 and Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor for $25, which is less than it costs on Steam.

On the mobile front, Apple's iPad Air 2 tablets are going for $100 off retail. Most of them appear to be sold out at the moment, save for the 16GB Wi-Fi + Cellular models, which are priced at $530 instead of $630. AT the risk of riling up the Android crowd, the iPad Air 2 is arguably the best tablet on the market right now -- check out our review for a more in-depth analysis.

This is just a sampling of the many deals available right from the comfort of your home. Dig around and you'll find several other gems, like the Lego Movie Special Edition on DVD for $8 or the Big Bang Theory Season 7 (DVD) for $10.

One final word -- Best Buy's website has been getting hammered, as you might imagine, and is sometimes slow to load. We've also experienced various errors when adding items to a cart and trying to checkout. If you run into issues, try accessing the site from your mobile device. Ordering went a lot smoother for this editor when using a smartphone late last night versus fighting Best Buy's website on the desktop.
