Best Buy's Two-Day iPad Trade-In Promotion Kicks Off Today, Receive $200 (or More) for Old Models

Been eying up one of those newer model Apple iPads with a Retina display? Don't fret if you're stuck with an older model, you have options at your disposal. You could always sell your old iPad on eBay or Craigslist, or you can march into a Best Buy store today or tomorrow and trade in your iPad 2 (or iPad 3) for a minimum $200 gift card.

The two-day trade-in promotion starts today and helps customers upgrade to the latest and greatest version of the iPad without paying full price. A fourth generation 16GB Wi-Fi iPad with Retina display runs $500, or $300 after applying the $200 gift card, though you can use the gift card on other items as well (like an Android tablet).

Depending on the condition of your iPad 2 or 3, you could receive a higher amount from Best Buy, though the electronics chain didn't specify how much it's capping its offer on trade-ins. The promotion is available at both Best Buy and Best Best Mobile locations.

Trade-ins must be in working order and power on. iPads with cracked screens and/or water damage are not eligible for the promotion.
