Bethesda Teases 'The Elder Scrolls Online' MMO with Short Trailer

Bethesda Softworks last Thursday finally and officially announced The Elder Scrolls Online, an "epic MMO" of sorts that will become "the first Elder Scrolls game to allow players to explorer the series' universe with others." Following the announcement, Bethesda has now released its first teaser trailer, a 1-minute YouTube clip with a strong emphasis on 'teaser.'

There's not a whole lot of reveal going on, just a nifty soundtrack and some gnarly narration to get you pumped about the upcoming game. According to Game Informer, which looks to have had an exclusive on announcing the MMO, Zenimax Online Studios is in charge of producing the title that will take place before the events of Skyrim. Check out the video below:

"It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years," said game director Matt Firor. "The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made – and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise."

We'll find out if that's the case sometime in 2013, which is when The Elder Scrolls Online is currently scheduled to ship (for PC and Mac).
