Call Of Duty: Black Ops Rumored For Gritty And Gruesome Reboot In 2020

A rumor has been making the rounds that claims Treyarch and Activision will reboot another beloved game in the Call of Duty franchise next year. The rumor claims that Call of Duty: Black Ops will get the reboot treatment. The game is alleged to be called either Call of Duty: Black Ops 5 or Call of Duty: Black Ops.

The game is reportedly set in the Cold War era and includes content from both the Korean and Vietnam Wars in its stories. The original Black Ops game was set in 1961 and 1968 and wrapped military action and political aspects of the era into the game. However, one leak claims that the game will span over 40 years.

The rumor claims that the game will be more gritty and gruesome than the rebooted Modern Warfare game set to land this year. The source of the leak via twitter is LongSensation, who leaked the correct name for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare ahead of the official unveiling of the game. Other rumors have claimed that development of the next Call of Duty game had originally begun under a Sledgehammer Games/Raven Software collaboration, but hadn't gone well.

Treyarch is said to have stepped in and moved up the launch table for the game, which was initially expected for 2021. We expect the game to look just as good, and perhaps even better than the Modern Warfare reboot, which is built using an all-new game engine that support real-time ray tracing, 4K HDR, volumetric lighting, and more.
