Cisco's Flip Video UltraHD And MinoHD Get Revised

Recently, Cisco's Flip Video brand (previously owned by Pure Digital) has been seeing a lot of competition. Early on, the brand had no competition, and they were running away with an entire sector in the industry. It didn't take long for companies like HP, Sony and Toshiba to catch on, and now Flip Video is being forced by others to continually innovate if they wish to maintain their edge in the world of pocket camcorders.

And that's exactly what they're doing. This week Cisco has revealed an all-new UltraHD and MinoHD, both of which have HD video capture capabilities, hardware-based image stabilization, expanded product personalization options, and more ways to share video using pre-loaded FlipShare software. The company also revealed Designed For Flip, a new program that will usher in a wider range of accessories (everything from wide angle lenses and external microphones to battery chargers and a portable projector) in the months to come.

These new units can capture video at 720p (60fps), and the new line is available now in the U.S. starting at $149.99. Not a bad time to upgrade!
