Cooler Master Kicks Off Epic Pay-It-Forward PC Master Race Hardware Giveaway
One very lucky person is going to receive a collection of computer parts and peripherals from a variety of companies, and it is all because Cooler Master took the initiative to set this thing in motion. What is 'this thing', you ask? It's a pay-it-forward giveaway, started by a single Twitter post by Cooler Master, in which the company encourages Corsair and others to hop on board.
This is one of the neatest things we have seen develop in the PC space. Cooler Master and Corsair are competitors in the peripheral space, but neither one is concerned about that at the moment. Instead, Cooler Master vowed to pony up a keyboard and Corsair is tossing a mouse into what has become a massive pile of goodies.

It also helped that this was picked up by Reddit in the PC Master Race section (where else?). Nearly three dozen companies are now on board, and there are nearly enough parts to build a full blown PC. Here's a partial look at the collection of parts so far:
- ASUS: Motherboard
- G.Skill: RAM (16GB Trident Z RGB)
- TeamGroup: RGB Solid State Drive
- NVIDIA: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
- Antec: Power Supply
- Fractal Design: Case
There is some overlap in the part selection. For example, Adata has committed to donating RAM and an SSD, Reborn Dimension has added another case to the mix, and MSI is tossing in a GeForce GTX 1050 or GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. As a result, Cooler Master says there will be multiple winners, though it's not clear how and when they will be selected.
Beyond the core components, companies have committed to giving away a whole bunch of accessories, including fans (Noctua), a gaming chair and backback (GT Omega Racing), a monitor (AOC), and $100 gift cards (Kinguin and ModmyMods), to name a few. Us and the folks at Overclock.net have volunteered to put it all together for the lucky winner.

The only major part that is missing at this point is a processor. We suspect Intel or AMD (or both) will step to the plate once they catch wind of this. Regardless, the companies that are participating deserve major props for doing something like this, and especially Cooler Master for setting it in motion. Tip of the hat to all involved.
