Corsair Announces Voyager Air Wireless Hub, Vengeance Gaming Keyboard and Mice & Dominator Platinum Light Bar

If there's one company worth watching out for at any CES, it's Corsair. More often than not, the company unveils a slew of products that catch our attention for all the right reasons, and sometimes even cause us to want to rebuild our PCs using its latest collection of kit. Another stature from Corsair is the unveiling of something we weren't expecting, and this year sticks to tradition.

For many years, Corsair has slapped the "Voyager" name on a variety of storage products - namely thumb drives - however with this CES, a piece of wireless storage bears its name. "Voyager Air" is an external hard drive that's meant to be accessed a variety of ways. You can connect it to your PC via USB as is the most common use, or stream data from it via 802.11b/g/n wireless to your laptop, tablet, smart TV and any other device on the network. It's in all regards a content hub, but a streaming-only one.

Though flash storage has plummeted in price in recent years, it's still a bit too over-the-top for a device like this, so Corsair is implementing 2.5-inch mechanical hard drives instead. Voyager Air will be released in 500GB ($199) and 1TB ($229) flavors and hit the market early next month.

Corsair hasn't announced any PC hardware yet at this year's CES, but it did unveil a couple of follow-up peripherals to its high-end Vengeance line. These include the K95 mechanical keyboard along with the M65 and M95 gaming mice. In building these devices, Corsair "honed" its competitive advantage with its original line-up and is taking things to a "new level".

The company's K95 gaming keyboard is, not surprisingly, mechanical in nature, and sports a black anodized brushed aluminum chassis with bright white LED lighting. While many companies have begun offering their keyboards with a choice of switch, Corsair has opted to stick with CHERRY MX reds for its K95. As a gaming keyboard, the K95 offers 18 dedicated macro keys to the side and full anti-ghosting / 20-key rollover to make sure you never fumble during your game due to your keyboard.

Moving over to gaming mice, we have the FPS-focused M65 and MMO-focused M95. While both mice feature a similar overall aesthetic and design, the M95 offers many more buttons at your perusal - common of MMO mice. Both models employ an Avago ADNS-9800 sensor that boosts last year's DPI sensitivity up 30% to 8200. The M95, pictured below, includes 15 fully-programmable buttons and a total of six profiles to flick through on-the-fly. The M65, by contrast, includes a special "sniper" button that will allow you to take that tough shot easier by slowing down your movement.

As an aside, Corsair will also soon be launching a new mousepad, or "Gaming Mat", called the MM600. It's built on an aluminum foundation and offers two sides - one smooth, one rougher - so that you can better fine-tune your given playstyle.

The M95 and M65 gaming mice will be launching later this month at prices of $79.99 and $69.99, respectively, while the K95 keyboard will carry a price-tag of $149.99. The MM600 gaming mat will retail for $39.99.

Last but not least, Corsair has also announced a "Light Bar" upgrade kit for owners of Dominator Platinum memory. These kits allow users to customize the lighting of their DIMMs by replacing the stock inserts with one of two colors; Arctic White or Cerulean Blue. This is definitely a "bling" product, but could be the last piece of the puzzle for those who really like to build a PC that's not only fun to use, but fun to look at. This kit will become available in February and retail for $29.99.
