Corsair Reveals CX V2 Builder Series Of Entry-Level Power Supplies

PSUs may not be as exciting as a new GPU or a new CPU , but you know where your tower would be without a solid, reliable power supply? In the trash. Corsair's well known for their memory products, but their power supplies are well-built, too. The company has just launched the new CX C2 range, which offer longer warranties and better efficiency than your average PSU, and the new ones fall into the Builder Series.

The Builder Series CX V2 is the successor to the current CX family of PSUs, offering 80 PLUS certification and European Commission Energy-Related Product (ErP) directive compliance for guaranteed efficiency and low standby power consumption. The warranty on the CX V2 PSUs has been increased to three years, one year longer than the original Builder Series models.

The company is aiming these at the mid- or entry-level user, and that shows in the price. The CX600 V2 will sell for $74, while the CX500 V2 sells for $64 and the CX430 V2 for $49.
