CyberPower Announces First NVIDIA Fermi-Based Gaming Desktop PCs

Fermi! It's here! After hearing about NVIDIA's next huge play in the GPU world for months on end, the card that is destined to overtake the best Radeon out there has arrived. In a CyberPower machine, so far. We anticipate NVIDIA to unveil the next-gen GPU at any moment from the PAX trade show floor, but CyberPower is giving us a heads-up that the GeForce GTX 470 and GeForce GTX 480 are real cards, and they'll be for sale starting today.

This news follows up on rumors that we heard earlier in the week, and everything seems to be accurate. CyberPower will be equipping their high-end gaming desktops with NVIDIA's Fermi-based line of GPUs, adding DirectX 11 support and compatibility with 3D Vision Surround, CUDA and PhysX. The flagship Black Pearl, Black Mamba Fang series and Gamer Xtreme lines will get the new cards, and all of them can be paired with Intel's latest Core 2010 line of processors.

Customers will be able to choose from NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 480 GeForce GTX 470 graphics cards in single, dual, or even triple video card configurations, though hard pricing details are not yet being announced. Get ready to pony up, we're guessing!
