CyberPower Xplorer X7-Xtreme S1 Goes Core i7

Intel's pervasive Core i7 CPU has certainly made the rounds at this point, but it has yet to find too many homes within notebooks. Always looking to stay one step ahead of the other guys, CyberPower has introduced the Core i7-equipped Xplorer X7-Xtreme S1, the first laptop from the outfit to sport one of these slabs of silicon. It's also based around the X58 chipset for handling those intense gaming sessions, and speaking of which, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M GPU should handle most everything on the market today.

Other specifications include a 17" WUXGA (1920x1200), FireWire, HDMI port, 3.1MP webcam, 6GB of memory, Bluetooth, a 7-in-1 card reader, optional SSD and even a Blu-ray drive. In other words, there's a good shot this machine will be more powerful than your desktop. It also ships with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium edition and can be customized further if you're kosher with laying down the cash. Oh, and the starting tag is $2335 -- break open that piggy bank!
