CyberPowerPC Lays Claim To Thinnest 17-Inch Gaming Notebook

We’re used to seeing gaming notebooks that resemble a portable device only insofar as they have a lid that closes, as all those killer components tend to make the units heavy and bulky, but we’re starting to see gaming notebooks that somehow pack in impressive specs in a svelte form factor.

Such is the case with CyberPowerPC’s ZeusBook Ultimate series, which delivers a quad-core Intel Core i7-4700HQ (2.4GHz) Haswell processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M (2GB) graphic card, and 8GB of 1600MHz RAM. It has a 17.3-inch (1920x1080) anti-reflective LED display and offers a 1TB HDD, Killer NIC, stereo speakers with a subwoofer, and 720p HD webcam with four USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, two mini DisplayPorts, mic/headphone jacks, and S/PDIF.

There are two models in the series at present--the ZeusBook Ultimate 100 and 200--which start at $1,429 and $1,535 respectively. The machines weigh in at a mere 5.73 lbs, and at 0.85 inches in thickness, CyberPowerPC claims they’re the world’s thinnest. Indeed, that’s 0.03 inches thinner than Razer’s Blade Pro. And if you like the thinness, look, and specs of the ZeusBook Ultimate, MSI has something for you, too.
