CyberPowerPC's Burly Core i9 And GeForce RTX Powered Gaming PCs Bust Out At CES 2019

We've seen a lot of Hot Hardware this week at CES 2019, including a few desktop and notebook systems from CyberPowerPC. We have the feeling that the company is really into Thor and Asgardians in general, because the first system that we bumped up against was the Ragnarok.

The Ragnarok features a massive E-ATX chassis that can be equipped with a dual-chamber power supply, each with their own separate power button. That second power supply can be used to power a separate Mini-ITX system mounted within the chassis.

Powering the [primary] system is a 9th generation Intel Core i9-9980XE processor that is backed by a Gigabyte X299 Designare motherboard. Also thrown in for good measure are dual EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics cards in SLI, because, why not? There's an open loop liquid cooling system and CyberPower's own RGB fans installed around inside the case. The configuration that you see in the video is priced at a whopping $7,000 -- you can blame the CPU choice and the dual graphics for a bulk of that cost. Unfortunately, there was no sign of Mjölnir.

The next system on display is from CyberPowerPC's sub-brand, Syber. Although it's officially called the Syber Cube, you might as well call it the Tesseract. It features Corsair all-in-one liquid cooling system, a 9th generation Intel Core i9-9900K processor and dual EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. While you can get a Cube for as little as $1,400 if you select GeForce RTX 2060 graphics, you'll pay in excess of $4,000 if you want check every possible option box.

Also on display is the latest entry in the Gamer Supreme family, the P418. It will be available in the retail market (via Best Buy) and it features an AMD Ryzen 5 2600, with an XFX Radeon RX 590 graphics card.

One of the more interesting offering from CyberPowerPC, however, is the Tracer III 15R, which is the company's latest gaming laptop offering complete with a 15-inch 1080p 144Hz display. You can select up to an 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor, 32GB of RAM and up to 2TB of storage. As for the GPU, you can get up to a GeForce RTX 2070 to fuel your real-time ray tracing goodness in games like Battlefield V and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. You'll also be happy to find an RGB mechanical keyboard installed in this mobile gaming rig.

The company also has the Tracer III Xtreme 17R, which largely uses the same internals as its smaller sibling, but includes a 17.3-inch 1080p display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

We should be seeing these desktop systems shipping to customers relatively soon, but the laptops are still a few months out. In any case, we’re waiting to get these systems into our lab so that we can give them full benchmark treatment.
