Dell Ships Venue 8 Pro Tablet With Windows 8.1 For $300

If you listen closely, you can hear those bells ringing already... particularly if you're in a sales department. With the holiday shopping season creeping up on us, companies far and wide are refreshing product lines in order to entice you. Dell's one of those, and this week it announced that the new Venue tablets and XPS 15 laptop were available for the taking. The Dell Venue 7, Venue 8 and Venue 8 Pro tablets, as well as the new XPS 15, are available for sale on Dell.com in the United States and in select countries around the world.

The Venue 7 starts at $149.99, while the Venue 8 starts at $179.99. Both are based on Android and feature HD IPS displays and Intel's Atom Bay Trail processing power. The real starlet, of course, is the Venue 8 Pro. It's outfitted with Windows 8.1, as well as a copy of Office 2013 Home & Student. At just $299.99, it's a sleek alternative to Microsoft's own Surface hardware.

As for the newly-refinished XPS 15, that one is available with a Quad HD+ (3200x1800) display. It starts at $1,499.99 with Full HD or $1,899.99 with Quad HD+ panel.

Also, we're told that the Venue 11 Pro, XPS 11 and refreshed XPS 13 with touch should be coming soon, with more specific details to emerge in November.
