Dell Updates UltraSharp Display Line-up with PremierColor and Ultra-Wide Model

Dell refreshed its UltraSharp monitor line with updated models that are better-suited to “color-critical” tasks than previous models. That’s good news for the graphic designers and other creative types, but Dell didn’t forget the rest of us: there’s a new ultra-wide monitor aimed at multi-taskers who want room for all their open windows without a dual-monitor setup.

Anyone involved in creating graphic content is a target for Dell’s new UltraSharp with PremierColor line. According to Dell, the colors are “calibrated at the factory to support 99 percent AdobeRGB and 100 percent sRGB coverage with a deltaE of less than 2; each monitor arrives with a certified report to indicate its exact color calibration.” Dell also provides customers with Dell UltraSharp Color Calibration Solution software, which is meant to provide customers with extra color profile control.

There are three new monitors in the UltraSharp with PremierColor line, including the 24-inch U2413 ($599) and 27-inch U2713H ($999). As you might guess, the Dell UltraSharp U3014 ($1,499) is a 30-inch behemoth that offers a 16:10 aspect ratio and 2560 x 1600 resolution. Dell is touting the monitor’s range of viewing angles and environmental-friendliness. Dell is also announcing single- and dual-monitor stands for these displays. The Dell Single Monitor Arm MSA14 ($149) and the Dell Dual Monitor Stand MDS14 ($169) have Dell Quick Release mechanisms for quickly attaching/removing displays.

Multi-taskers will dig the 29-inch Dell UltraSharp U2913WM. The display has a 21:9 ratio and is meant to replace your dual-monitors. Why bother? Because you’ll get rid of that annoying dead space between your two screens where the bezels meet. Picture having all of the horizontal screen real estate with no dead space. Actually, no need to imagine it: check out the photo. The new monitor lineup is available now.
