Dell's Drool-Worthy 30-Inch UltraSharp 4K OLED UP3017Q Monitor Now On Sale
Get out those wallets. Dell’s visually enticing 30-inch UltraSharp 4K OLED Monitor UP3017Q is now on sale. According to Dell, the monitor provides “incredibly realistic imagery that’s unlike any other panel”.
For those concerned about security, the monitor includes a Security lock slot for a separately sold cable lock and an Anti-theft stand lock slot that connects to the panel. Customers receive three years of 24X7 support as well as a “Dell Premium Panel Guarantee”. The “Premium Panel Guarantee” means that Dell will replace the customers display for free if even one of the eight million pixels is not perfect.
The Dell 30 UltraSharp OLED Monitor UP3017Q is currently on sale for $3,499.99 USD at the Dell website.
Dell’s first 4K UltraSharp offers a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The 30 panel comprises some 8 million pixels, a color depth of 1.07 billion colors, and quick image transition response time of 0.1 milliseconds (black to white). Dell notes that, “Every color onscreen is intensely rich and vibrant against true black, and enhanced by individually lit pixels on an expansive 30-inch display.”
The monitor is also the first OLED display on the market with USB Type-C connectivity. This feature helps to eliminate clutter since it can also supply power to a laptop over USB type-C and transmit audio and imagery between a laptop and the monitor. Customers will also receive in the box a USB Type C cable that converts from Type C to Type A, another cable that goes from C to C, and USB Type C Holder. The monitor also supports mDP (1.2) and HDMI (2.0) connectivity.
Customers can also adjust the height, tilt, pivot or swivel of the monitor and its viewing angle are is 178° vertical and horizontal. Without a stand, the monitor reaches a 15.96 inches while with a stand its height ranges from a minimum of 17.96 inches and a maximum of 21.90 inches. Even with a stand, the aluminum-edged Dell monitor is incredibly thin at only 7.54 inches.
