Dell's New 27-Inch 4K Display Comes With Attractive $700 Price Tag

So, have you been shopping a 4K monitor for yourself and haven't liked what you've seen so far? We don't blame you -- though there are a select few models worthy of early adoption, for the most part, the 4K monitor movement still has some growing pains to overcome. One of the more promising entries we've seen in some time is Dell's new 27-inch P2715Q.

The P2715Q rocks an In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel rather than an inferior TN display. It also boasts support for a 60Hz refresh rate when running at 3840x2160, which is not something that can be said about the company's 28-inch P2815Q (it's limited to just 30Hz, hence why you're seeing it marked down all over the web recently).

Other goodies include a wide viewing angle (178 degrees by 178 degrees), 99 percent coverage of the sRGB color space, factory tuning and color calibration, built-in USB 3.0 hub with charging port, and a fully adjustable stand that supports tilt, pivot, swivel, and height adjustments.

Connectivity options consist of a DisplayPort input, a DisplayPort output, mini DisplayPort, HDMI, and a speaker-line out -- it doesn't appear to have built-in speakers, which is fine by us considering we've never been wowed by a monitor's cans.

Dell also announced a physically smaller version, the 24-inch P2415Q. It has the same identical specs, save for the display size (24 inches).

Both the Dell 24-inch P2415Q ($600) and 27-inch P2715Q ($700) are available now.
