Diskeeper Becomes Condusiv, Changes Direction

Diskeeper installed Jerry Baldwin (pictured below) as CEO just a few months ago in September 2011, and he’s wasted little time getting down to business. Baldwin is setting a course for change for the 31-year-old defragging company, starting with a name change and a new direction.

The company formerly known as Diskeeper Corporation will henceforth be Condusiv Technologies. In a blog post announcing the change and Condusiv’s “highly focused” strategy, Baldwin didn’t get into specifics. Some reports indicate that Condusiv’s focus, at least for the time being, will be on caching software for flash memory and the latest version of Undelete.

Indeed, Baldwin took the time in the post to announce Undelete 10, which is file recovery software that offers a safety net for accidental deleters and includes versioning. It's designed to be ideal for enterprise users who frequently have to hunt down files that employees inadvertently deleted, which can otherwise be a long and tedious process.

Look for additional new or updated products under the Condusiv banner coming out soon.
