Doom Descends Deeper Into Demon Apocalypse With ‘Fight Like Hell’ Cinematic Trailer

Doom Fight Like Hell

There's still roughly a month and a half to go before Bethesda releases its Doom reboot to Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but in the meantime, there's a new live-action trailer with a gnarly soundtrack to get you pumped about pummeling "terrifying demons" using an assortment of "bad ass guns."

Those are two of the three pillars of Doom's game play that the trailer tries to evoke, the other being "relentless combat." Blood and gore would have combined to make a nifty fourth pillar, but they're absent from the live-action trailer's description and, oddly enough, from the 1-minute trailer itself. Not to worry though, the actual game will feature plenty of gore.

The trailer arrives just as Bethesda kicks off Doom's closed multiplayer beta. Codes were sent out to qualifying participants yesterday—those who redeemed their Doom beta codes included with some physical copies of Wolfenstein: The New Order, and those who pre-purchased or bought Wolfenstein in digital form before May 26, 2014—who will get to play the multiplayer portion up through Sunday, April 3, at 11:59 PM Eastern.

If you don't qualify, you still have a shot at getting in the action. Bethesda's partnered with GameStop to give away free Doom multiplayer beta codes at physical GameStop and EB Store locations each day that it's active. These are likely to be in high demand, so show up early if you plan on snagging one.

Appropriately enough, the Doom reboot releases on Friday, May 13th. Oh, and kudos if you identified the trailer's soundtrack as "Refused" by New Noise.
