EA and DICE Roll Out Another Battlefield 4 Patch for the PC

As one of the most anticipated games of the year, Battlefield 4 also has the distinction of being one of the most buggy releases, and that's regardless of platform. Even worse, Electronic Arts and DICE can't seem to catch a break. To wit, there's a new patch available for the PC version, and the main reason it exists is to fix a bunch of issues introduced in a previous update. Talk about taking one step forward and two steps back!

Those of you wielding multiple graphics cards will be happy to know that the latest patch issues a fix for terrain flickering when running BF4 on a SLI or CrossFire configured system. Applying the patch is also supposed to resolve "three of the top crash issues on the PC platform," so if you've been getting booted to the desktop, hopefully this update will prove to be the magic pill you're looking for.

The patch eliminates the possibility of a soldier dying with 1 HP instead of 0 HP, and it also resolves an issue where the revive UI could be permanently shown after accepting a revive.

In addition to game-side fixes, EA and DICE have also begun updating to a new server version (R17). The upgrade includes a fix for two server crashes and for a graphical bug that could occur when players accepted a revive within 1 second, plus a few server performance optimizations.
