eBay Anti-Prime Day Offers Great Deals On NVIDIA SHIELD TV And Other Gadgets For $25 Off, No Membership Required

Amazon is sucking all of the oxygen out of the room this week with its Prime Day sales extravaganza. Prime Day normally lasts for just one day, but Amazon upped the ante this year by extending it to two days (July 16th through July 17th). While we've covered plenty of deals that Amazon has to offer this year, eBay wants in on some of the discounting glory as well.

To counter Prime Day, eBay is currently running a promotion that gives you a $25 discount on ALL purchases over $119. The $25 discount applies to nearly everything on eBay with the exception of the following categories: Coins & Paper Money, Gift Cards & Coupons, and Real Estate. eBay makes no qualms about why it's providing this discount, stating, "You Don't Need to Be a Member to Save Here", which is clearly in reference that Prime Day deals require an Amazon Prime subscription. And that yearly membership just so happens to cost... $119.

The coupon code, PRIMO119, is one-time use only (applied at checkout), and the promotion ends July 17th at 11pm PST.

There are plenty of deals to be had considering that you can apply the coupon across so many different categories, and one that particularly stood out to us is the NVIDIA SHIELD TV 16GB with bundled remote and game controller. Best Buy's eBay store currently has the item for $179.99, but the discount takes the price down to a more palatable $154.99.

Depending on your needs, this might even be a better deal than the Prime Day promotion on the NVIDIA SHIELD TV 16GB with remote -- which has still yet to go live -- priced at $139.99.

Another deal that we came across is on the Seagate Expansion Desktop 8TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive. This item, also available via the Best Buy eBay storefront, is priced at $149.99, but the coupon at checkout brings the price down to $124.99 with free shipping.

Feel free to post any tantalizing deals using the coupon code (PRIMO119) that you run across in the comments section below to spread the wealth around. We all love a great tech deal around here. And if eBay isn't your think be sure to check out our roundup of hot Amazon Prime Day deals here.
