A new mesh WiFi hardware system for the home debuted at the Amazon hardware event held this week. The system is from a company called Eero, which Amazon acquired earlier this year. At the event, Amazon also announced that Eero hardware will be launching in Europe for customers in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK. The Eero and Eero Pro systems will land in those countries in early November.

One of the main goals of the Eero mesh WiFi hardware is to have a system that is very easy to set up. The setup process for the new product uses an app that has all the instructions needed to set the Eero mesh system up in a few minutes. Amazon says that connecting the hardware requires the user to unplug the old router, plug in the Eero, sign into the app, and users are ready to go.

The app also allows management of the network with the ability to pause the internet, share the network with guests, and perform other activities at home and while on the go. Amazon says that the available three-pack of Eero mesh WiFi devices will cover a home that is 5,000 square feet in size, while Eero mesh and Eero Pro devices can be mixed and matched in the same network.

Eero TrueMesh technology intelligently routes traffic to avoid network congestion, buffering, and range issues. The hardware also works with Alexa and has a skill to pause WiFi for specific profiles, when screen time is over, using your voice. The devices automatically update themselves for new features and security updates. TheEero mesh WiFi system has launched in the U.S. selling for $99 for a single device and $249 for a three-pack. Amazon also launched the new Echo Buds and Echo Studio.
