Essential Phone Android Flagship Receives a $100 Price Cut At Best Buy

It seems like just yesterday when Andy Rubin’s Essential Phone was released, promising to take on the big names in the Android smartphone market like Samsung, LG, HTC and Google. With its slim bezels and odd cutout around its front-facing camera, the Essential Phone definitely turned a few heads when it was first announced. However, not many people were particularly enamored with its $699.99 price.

Well, if you were sitting on the fence because of the price tag, Best Buy has a deal that just might get you to make the final leap. The electronics retailer has slashed $100 off the price of the smartphone, bringing it down to $599.99. This is for an unlocked device, and you can take your pick from one of two colors: Black Moon or Pure White.

Interestingly enough, both Essential.com and Sprint.com are still selling the device at full MSRP, so if you want to go the unlocked route, it really makes no sense to go with either of those options. There's no indication of how long this offer will last, but we're assuming that it will probably be good through Saturday evening. But to be on the safe side, order sooner rather than later if you're at all interesting in the smartphone.

For those that need a refresher course, the Essential Phone features a 5.7-inch QHD display, titanium body with IP54 dust/water resistance, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, an 8MP front-facing selfie camera and 128GB of internal storage. It also supports modular accessories that attach magnetically to the back of the phone.

The unlocked Essential Phone is compatible with all major U.S. wireless carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint.
