EVGA Announces Z77 FTW Motherboard and Latest Version of Precision X

EVGA’s latest EATX enthusiast board is the Z77 FTW, which is built to let users push its overclocking limits.

The board supports Intel 3rd-generation processors and has five PCI-E 3.0 x16 slots and one PCI-E 3.0 x1 slot that taken together can handle up to four-way SLI support with graphics cards at x8-x16-x8-x8. You can slap in up to 32GB of DDR3-2133 (x4 DIMM slots) for serious memory horsepower.

Other features include dual Gigabit LAN, four SATA 6Gbps ports, four SATA 3Gbps ports, two eSATA ports, six total USB 3.0 and ten USB 2.0 ports, FireWire, and a mini DisplayPort.

The solid gold capacitors and E-LEET Tuning Utility will certainly help overclockers, but the latest version (3.0.2) of EVGA’s Precision X graphics card overclocking tool may appeal to users more. The new version received a few tweaks such as new skins, hardware monitoring history logging support, and a new maximum framerate target of 120FPS, but it also now offers the EVGA VoltageTuner Utility instead of the EVGA EVTune utility and support for controlling the tool over Bluetooth with an Android smartphone.
