EVOC Intros Atom-Powered Mini-ITX Motherboard

You know what the world needs? Another Mini-ITX mainboard. And you know what the world is getting courtesy of EVOC? Another Mini-ITX mainboard. With the eco-friendly crowd growing larger and more vocal by the day, it makes sense for EVOC to cater to that audience with a new mainboard designed specifically for small, living room PCs that can play back Internet content and maybe even tune into an OTA station or four.

The EC7-1812CLDNA, which is impossibly named, was recently launched over in China as a low-cost embedded motherboard complying with Mini-ITX SBC standard. It's based on Intel's Atom N230 CPU and 945GC + ICH7 chipset, and it supports VGA+LVDS display, 1 x 10/100/1000M network port, 6 x COM port, 1 x parallel port, 6 x USB port and PCI expansion. While it can operate just find in industrial applications such as information kiosks and POS terminals, we see it of interest to small form factor HTPC builders, carputer builders and those in need of a cheap, low-power secondary PC.

Unfortunately there's no word on a price just yet, but that information should certainly be coming soon.
