Spoiler Alert! Fallout 4 Gameplay Footage Leak Has Us Pumped For November 10th Launch

When the first trailers for Fallout 4 hit earlier this year, gamers could hardly contain their excitement. After all, it’s not like a new Fallout game is released every year — “ain’t nobody got time for that” over at Bethesda. Would you like to know something else that Bethesda doesn’t have time for -- leaks.

Unfortunately for the Bethesda folks, a slew of in-game screenshots and gameplay videos have leaked to the web which not only give away spoilers for the game, but also give us a good look at the game’s UI and character interaction. Perhaps the most interesting of leaks comes from four gameplay videos that appears to show how the game will look on the Xbox One. We’ve embedded one of those videos below (you can find the rest in the source link).

We’re not too tough to please, but the graphics for the Xbox One version of the game don’t exactly get our pulses racing. Some of the character models, in-game objects, and environments look a bit “off” and devoid of much intricate detail. The overall graphics situation reminds us more of a game from the turn of the decade (it’s is, after all, using Skyrim’s engine) than the level of graphics that we know that current generation consoles and high-end PCs are capable of handling.

Fallout 4 director Todd Howard addressed the touchy topic back in June at E3, stating, "If we make a world that has, not just more details, but more dynamic details that we can keep track of and stream in and load quicker, all of that suspends your disbelief that this is a real world.

"The graphics matter, they do matter in suspending your disbelief.”

But it’s not exactly fair to harp on the graphics — Fallout 4 is all about the experience and being immersed into a virtual wasteland. And gamers are definitely excited to get their hands on the game. Bethesda knows this all too well, having quickly sold out of the pricey Pip-Boy Editions of the game. Bethesda has also partnered with Carlsberg UK and Jones Soda respectively to introduce beer and Nuka Cola Quantum respectively for Fallout fans.
