If you’re PC gamers looking to “Get your Mod on” in Fallout 4, the time is now. Bethesda this week announced that an open beta is now available that adds Mod support for its popular title. Bethesda said that Mod support would come in April and thankfully, the company stuck to its word.

For those that want to take a stab at creating their own Mods, Bethesda is providing the Creation Kit as a free download. According to the developer, the Creation Kit is the same tool that it used to create Fallout 4 and its DLC, so it comes from fine pedigree. And just in case you need a little extra help building your own Mods, Bethesda has posted a Creation Kit Wiki to help walk you through the process step-by-step.

If you don’t have any intentions of actually creating Mods, you can easily search for those that have already been created using a simple in-game browsing system. All you have to do is select Mods from the Fallout 4 main menu to see what Mods are currently available. You can also set favorites, install Mods and leave feedback using the same interface.

To access the Fallout 4 1.5 beta, you simply have login to Steam, right-click on Fallout 4, select properties, then Betas. From there, select Beta from the drop down menu. Once Fallout 4 [Beta] appears in your Library, you’re all set.

While PC users can enjoy all the fruits of Mod support right now, console gamers still have wait a while to gain support. According to Bethesda, the Xbox One will receive Mods sometime in May, while PlayStation 4 gamers will have to wait patiently until June.
