Far Cry 5 Bizarre Missions Include Bull Testicle Festival, Marvin Gaye And Trump Pee Tape

Far Cry 5 Bull Mission

Some games push the envelope with cutting edge graphics, while others seek to immerse players with an engaging story line full of plot twists and turns. Yet others introduce innovative control schemes and gameplay mechanics. And then there is Far Cry 5, a game that mixes redneck stereotypes with the already weird world of politics for what some will consider a delightfully bizzarre change of pace in standard first person shooter fare. By that we mean you will have the opportunity, among other things, to collect the private parts from bulls for the local Testical Festival, an annual tradition in the fictitious town of Falls End. Shall we go on?

Probably not, but we will anyway. Far Cry 5 is the eleventh installment and the fifth main title in the Far Cry series, this time set in the fictional locale of Hope County, Montana. It's there that a small town preacher, Joseph Seed, has created a fanatical cult of followers, spurring an inevitable uprising by The Resistance comprised of members of the community who want to take their town back. It's pretty standard as far as plot lines go, but from what we have seen of pre-release gameplay videos that have started to emerge, the missions are anything but run-of-the-mill.

Getting back to the Testical Festival, the game's developers at Ubisoft drew inspiration from a real-life event in Montana where attendees can munch on the neutered parts of a bull, like a chicken nugget only not like that all. In Far Cry 5, there is a side mission where you're tasked with collecting these delicacies. At one point, you come across a bull getting it on with a cow while Marven Gaye's "Sexual Healing" plays in the background. If you want to ruin that song forever, watch GameSpot's NSFW (language, content) gameplay video below (fast foward to around the 5-minute mark):

So what can top lopping off a bull's family jewels for so festival goers can ultimately shove them in their mouths? Probably nothing, to be honest. However, if it's political shenanigans you're after, there is another mission called "Patriot Acts" that centers around obtaining a VHS tape that has embarrassing footage to make the "Big Man" look bad. The mission doesn't reference President Donald Trump directly, but is obviously based on an alleged "pee tape" that was mentioned as part of a dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele.

This particular mission can be seen as an intersection where fictional gameplay and the real-life world of politics meet head on. In real-life, the aforementioned dossier alleges that Russia has a tape of Donald Trump paying prostitutes to urinate on a Moscow hotel room bed that was once slept in by former President Barack Obama and Michele Obama. In the game, the mission makes references to wetting the bed and a "yellow brick road," along with the "Big Man" having "Fled Kremlandia" after staying in a luxury suite.

And those are just two missions, folks. There will be much more to do and experience in Far Cry 5, if this is your cup of tea. The game releases to Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Tuesday, March 27.
